Tune out the trolls by turning off voice chat in FIFA 22.
When you’re on the cusp of victory online in FIFA 22, it can be irritating to hear the voice chat going on in the background. Fortunately, you don’t have to listen to this forever, as you can turn off voice chat in every version of the game. Read below on how to deactivate this feature.
How to Turn Off Voice Chat in FIFA 22
PC: On the FIFA 22 launcher, hit Game Settings and select the Audio tab furthest to the right. Under the option for Voice Chat, make sure the box is unticked.
PlayStation 5 / PlayStation 4: To mute on PS5, hold the PlayStation button on your controller and go to Game Base. From here, scroll to the rightmost option and select Game Base Settings. Next, select Voice Chat Settings and activate the slider to Disable Game Chat Audio. For PS4, hold the PlayStation button for the Quick Menu, and go down to Sound/Devices and on that menu, make sure that voice chat is not activated.
Xbox One / Xbox Series X: Go to Settings on your console, select Account, and then Privacy. Here you need to click on the Customise option and turn off Communicate with Voice and Text.
It’s only the PC version of FIFA 22 where you’ll be using your copy of the game to deactivate voice chat. Otherwise, you’ll be looking inside of your console system settings. Once you’ve turned off the option, you’ll finally be able to play FUT in peace, if not for the commentators.
